SPA GRAND PRIX gets a mobile application

SPA GRAND PRIX is getting a new mobile application. It will make it easier for the 380,000 visitors expected to visit the circuit. But what does this application actually offer?

This weekend sees the Belgian Grand Prix. To mark the occasion, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit is launching a new mobile application. The new application will make it easier for the 380,000 visitors expected to visit the circuit. Behind this innovation is the Liège-based company Deuse, which specialises in IT engineering. But what does this application actually offer?

Events and other large-scale venues are adopting mobile applications. Today, it's Spa-Francorchamps' turn. "The app will help visitors prepare for their visit, find their way around more easily and find out exactly what's going on during the Grand Prix," explains Maxime Deuse, manager of the Deuse company.

The F1 Spa GP application includes race timetables and the various activities on offer, driver and team rankings, as well as a detailed map of the site. What's more, the application integrates the entry tickets to facilitate entry to the site.

"Particular attention has been paid to making the application very easy to use. It's not a complicated application: there are 4 tabs and relatively simple pages so that users don't get lost in the application and can find their way around," confirms Maxime Deuse.

The application is free and accessible, and has already been downloaded nearly 100,000 times.

Bronze tickets correspond to general admission. They give you access to the Bronze areas (the pedestrian areas around the circuit, where you can walk around).

Bronze tickets do not give you access to an assigned seat in the stands.

Silver and Gold tickets give you access to the Bronze areas as well as an assigned seat in the stands. Silver tickets give you access to a Silver stand, which you must choose when purchasing, and Gold tickets give you access to a Gold stand, which must also be chosen when purchasing.

Weekend tickets give you access to the circuit on all three days of the event: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Gold 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 stands are covered.

Grandstand Silver 4 is covered.
All other stands are uncovered.

Yes, grandstand seats are numbered and allocated for each day. For example, if you have a weekend ticket, you will have the same seat on all 3 days.

However, there is an exception for the ‘17-27 Blanchimont’ stand, which does not have numbered seats and is open seating.
