Faster than the train, the F1 cars are coming to Belgium this week for the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix at Francorchamps. And the show won't just be on the track.
Because the American F1 promoters want a Grand Prix to be a total spectacle on and around the track. A real American-style show. So to present itself in the most favourable light possible - let's not forget that there is a contract up for renewal for 2025 and the following years - Spa Grand Prix has once again pulled out all the stops by offering a host of entertainment: "We really want to offer our fans a complete experience. Last year was a first in terms of entertainment and we were perhaps a little too specific in terms of DJs. Here, we'll still have plenty of DJs. We'll still have a stage in the fan zone, stages in 17-27 for the youth tribune, but there'll also be a cover band, and a great show in the pre-gates on Sunday. We'll have Antoine Delie playing the national anthem and on Sunday, after the Grand Prix, we'll be lucky enough to have Lost Frequencies performing a short show," explains Vanessa Maes, director of the company organising the Grand Prix.
The temporary grandstands will also be specially decorated for the occasion.
