The F1 at Francorchamps
Relations between the Formula 1 and Francorchamps may be compared to a long, sometimes turbulent love affair. The Grand Prix was held almost every year between 1950 and 1970. It returned to Spa in 1983 after the length of the track was reduced from 14 to 7 km. Apart from a few “infidelities” -- particularly, in 2003 and 2006 -- the Grand Prix, with its yearly store of surprises and sensations, is held each year.
